Tim has a lifelong passion for technology and fascination with information security. Most recently, Tim led global information security architecture as a Senior Director at Eli Lilly and Company. He and his team were responsible for launching transformative initiatives in modern client security, cloud services, network segmentation, deceptive technologies, vulnerability management, email security, ICS and manufacturing automation security, digital product cybersecurity, MFA, data security, mobile devices, and data protection
Prior to joining Lilly, Tim was the Chief Security Architect at the Mayo Clinic. He was the senior technical security leader and worked closely with Mayo’s CISO to build the program from the ground up. He launched major initiatives in network security and segmentation, cloud services like O365 and Azure IAAS, identity and access management, technology governance, and mobility. He also designed a full SIEM redeployment, tool portfolio rationalization and optimization, and groundbreaking analytics.
Tim’s approach to cybersecurity is heavily influenced by his decade with Lockheed Martin designing and deploying solutions to some of the hard cybersecurity problems in the national security space: cryptography, embedded systems, aircraft, satellites, networks, hardware security, supply chain and third party security, and industrial control systems using a blend of best-of-breed from the commercial space coupled with groundbreaking custom technology now patented by Lockheed. He was an early advocate of intelligence driven cyber defense, and has experience designing and defeating security mechanisms, bringing both perspectives when evaluating and developing solutions.
Tim left the enterprise to co-found Reveal Risk because he saw a growing need for experienced practitioners to partner with companies as they transform their transform their information security programs to embrace cloud technology, the Internet of Things, block chain and artificial intelligence.
